Jane Campion project originally set to star Nicole Kidman (who remains credited as producer); this represented a return of sorts for the solid Ruffalo, who (like Colin Farrell) was highly touted early on and then backed off of for awhile by the Hollywood machine; some good notices drowned in a sea of highly vocal negative ones, with almost nonexistent boxoffice.
